does HBO/Cinemax (same company) let their shows go to netflix? I am pretty sure I have never seen an HBO show on there. I think they want you to get HBO Go. I just get a channel for free from my provider and watch it then. I will sometimes just get them free for nothing. Sometimes they give me buy one get one free. check out banshee if they are giving you on demand free as well. DTV doesn't let you have on demand during a preview.

I really like this show. Clive Owen is great in this as Dr. Thackery. They sure didnt like the black man back then....
you want to see an excellent movie about race and the medical community, check out Something the Lord Made (2004) which is the story of black med-tech Vivien Thomas's (played by Mos Def) work with "blue baby doctor" Alfred Blalock (played by Alan Rickman) who pioneered modern heart surgery in the 1930's and 40's. even though Thomas developed many of the surgical tools and techniques used by Blalock in his early surgery, he really didn't receive much credit for it until late in life. the scene where European doctors who had just observed a "blue baby" surgery addressing Vivien as "Dr Thomas" says it all about the difference in race relations in the European medical community vs America much like with Dr. Algernon Edwards in The Knick
excellent movie with a compelling story well acted by all involved. The film was nominated for nine Emmy Awards, including acting nominations for both Rickman and Def, and won for Outstanding Made for Television Movie.
