interesting selection considering it is the #1 watched TV mini-series of all time. as for Alex Haley being a "fraud", I would like to see the "proof". sounds like something cooked up by Glenn Beck or the late Andrew Breitbart

^um, he was debunked in a federal court in New York for plagiarizing some other guy's book (haley settled a few weeks into the trial for over half a million $ AND admitted that "some elements found their way" into 'roots'--perhaps the most laughable statement ever made).
also, several noted genealogists during the 70's outed his story as untrue as it related to his ancestry.
note--if it's the "most watched" it's guaranteed to be fiction.

watched last night on EPIX and didn't think it was THAT bad. thought it was well acted by Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle, Bruce Greenwood and John Goodman. as someone who has flown the MD-80, I found myself "picking apart" some of the "technical" parts of the movie like the NTSB witch stating the trim jackscrew controlled the elevators. it actually controls the horizontal stabilizer which is the front part of the tail plane assembly. also the cockpit scenes and shots of the wrecked aircraft in the hanger are an MD-80 BUT in the inflight CGI shots the aircraft flying appears to be a Bombardier CRJ regional jet.
the overall story is pretty obvious BS esp in this day of drug and alcohol testing where an addicted pilot would probably be found out and fired well before he or she caused any incident. I used to get randomly tested at least once a month when I was flying the line

I'm not really into most "superhero" movies anyhow BUT have to agree THAT one HAS to be the WORST ever
any will smith movie since 2000
really? the Men in Black series? also though I-Robot was pretty much non-stop action
