Just looking, see some value in 3 of the categories. All depends how much of a hardon the Academy has with Taylor this year.
Think Record of the Year is waste of time and Uptown Funk should have it in the bag (-400 odds at 5D).
Album of the Year, I think Kendrick Lamar has great value at +375. Yes, the Grammys typically dont go towards rap/hip hop, but this is one of those albums much like the other 2 that have won (Lauryn Hill's Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and Outkast's double album) that has the socially conscious lyrics on most song's as well as critical acclaim that Outkast had for that one. Most people think it's a groundbreaking hip hop album and one of the best albums for its genre. I also like Alabama Shakes at 7-1. Just seem very grammy friendly.
Best New Artist and I've said this for a while is absolutely the best thing of the 4 and wide open imo. Meghan Trainor sucks and besides popularity, to give her best new artist is a joke. I dont really know who James Bay is at +245. But Sam Hunt is a country singer who is decent, popular and critical acclaim, like him at 5-1 odds. And not many know Courtney Barnett, heard a few songs by her on satellite radio, but she might be most talented of the bunch. 7-1 solid value for her.
Song of the year, I like Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud at +250. Good song that I think has a shot of standing test of time unlike Taylor's Bad Blood. Alright by Kendrick Lamar is +900, socially conscious again and just feel this album in particular this year with the whole BLM movement might resonate a bit. It was a perfect time for an album like this to come out, but have a hard time seeing a rapper win best song and album.
