B.B.King RIP

Question

Very surprised nobody started a Thread of respect for the King of Blues.

He died peacefully at his home, age 89, after battling diabetes for years.

If you never saw this man play, and he toured up until about a year ago, you missed a guitar legend.

Not on my watch does this remain unheralded.

Just got back in the country today &amp; heard this.  Have a friend that is a big fan of his........saw him 10 years ago &amp; said he was great........saw him about 3 years ago &amp; said you could tell he was fading.

I remember my friend turning me unto " Live @ Cook County Jail " blasting his very nice speakers in the basement while mom &amp; pop were gone.

I saw him live several times in the late 80's & early 90's .He always put on a great show. His backing band was Top Notch too. Biscuit : "CC Jail" is one of my favorite LP's. " LA Midnight " is a quality studio LP too .Joe Walsh, Taj Mahal and Jessie Ed Davis are on it .

I never saw him play other than TV and Youtube videos but he was a legend no doubt.

seen him live 3 times in the 80&#x27;s, and last just a couple years ago, one time around 85 it was in a small bar setting in Montreal which was the best.  He was a huge influence to many of todays artists and he will live on in that way RIP BB

Yes, GG my mistake....forgot about his stint in "Back to the Future"...I did realize I had it butt backwards&#xD;&#xA;So many future R&amp;R HFers&#x27; credit those guys as biggest influences

RIP..a true, pure legend - only saw him twice in the late 70&#x27;s &amp; early 80&#x27;s, but both great shows. My favorite was him with Gatemouth Brown in Austin..
