Taylor Swift hasn't been cuntry for quite some time. I think when you have longevity in music, you have to try new things or your music becomes stale and redundant. Country in also experiencing a boom of wider, mainstream success with artist like Lainey Wilson, Kacey Musgrave, etc. and Bey is undoubtedly trying to cash in. I think it won't be well received but in her defense, she is from Texas.

 I have country on in the car most of the time now because just like Beyoncé I wanted to try something new. The music is relatable. She just doesn’t have a target audience imo. It definitely isn’t me lol
