Eminem "The Recovery"....just got it..and....

EM iS bak guys!! he even says it on a verse on 2nd track..."the last two albums didnt count..encore i was on drugs and relapse i was flushin them out..ive come to make it up to you know fuckin around..." anyone else get it early?? would love to hear your thoughts...

Yep it's not a mixtape atlheat.

Downloaded it and was somewhat disappointed. I was hoping it would be raw with songs similar to Despicable, but there's a lot of acoustic guitar, piano, and female pop singers.  If thats what your into, you will like this album, but Not Afraid was the best track before the album leaked and after hearing the whole thing, Not Afraid is still the best.  Despicable is better than most of the songs of here also.

If most of the material is sing-songy with females on the hook (as you mentioned), I'm probably not gonna go after it.  I might take a listen on Amazon and pick and choose what songs I want, but that's it.

After I heard "Despicable", I was pretty amped up for his new album.  But if he isn't shitting on the mic like he did in that song, then it's a pass for me...

ATL, not all of it is like that, but Despicable and Not Afraid are better than anything else on this album.  However, there are still a few songs where Em kills it but just nothing as good as the first two songs out. 

Em rarely sings on a hook on Recovery between Pink, Kobe, Rihanna, Ozzy Osbourne, Lil Wayne, and some random girl singers.  There are still quite a few creative lines that Em knocks out.  He's one of the most if not the most talented rapper in terms of speed and creativity today.

I liked Relapse better too. My wife likes the new one better.(Probably because Pink is on it)

Ya new CD is more for general public and has lot of songs being over played on radio already (like the way u lie).  Recovery also has a bunch of more popular other artists like Pink and Beyonce.  Stilll like relapse better.  Some my  favoritess: Same song & dance, must be the ganga, 3 am, Deja Vu.

 

All in all tho, if i had to pick, i think Superman may be his best song of all time---> very debatable tho

This is a much better album then anything he's done in awhile.

Most of the hate towards this album come from people who think EM is old news and have a bias.
