T'giving has me reminiscin some about earlier days in Austin, Scamp Walker & a little fellow by the name of Charlie Dunn. Charles was a bootmaker extrodinaire workin outa the Capital Saddlery on Congress in downtown Austin. I used to eat breakfast back then at a great place across the street & while I didn't wear boots much, I had 1 great pr made by Charlie that were as comfy as tennis shoes & would sometimes go over & talk to him a bit when he had time.
Any old Austinites &/or JJ Walker fans feel free to chime in -
