Saw Metallica with G&R and Faith no More in Dallas in the 90's. It was the tour when Hetfield got burnt by some piro shit earlier in an earlier performance during the tour.
He just belted out the tunes while some dude played his guitar parts. They opened with Enter Sandman. It was @ Cowboy's stadium in Irving and me and my sons were in the nose bleed section right up against the very back wall of the upper deck.
When they opened with that tune I will never forget the hair rising all over my body and the vibrations coming through the back wall I was leaning on. 70K people head banging all at once.
I'm not a big fan of thrash speed metal but my kids had to see it and I was a fan for one day anyway. Quite an unforgettable experience.
G&R sucked by the way but Slash didn't miss a lick and was watchable.
