Excellent show...........won't make my top 5 though. Donny came out with a guy (Kelly) from The Michael Schenker Band & went unplugged...........disappointing at 1st, then acceptable, but it made the songs somewhat undistinguishable due to little change in tone. Sure, he played his best hits, but they all sounded the same.........still, I enjoyed it. Queensryche was outstanding.............played a lot off of " Empire" & added a special treat..................their own rendition of PF's "Welcome to the Machine".........nicely innovative, done w/o keyboards. Tate still has a powerful voice. The drummer is a machine. I would've loved to have heard "Queen of the Ryche" but I'm not gonna bitch that I didn't.
All in all, a great show at a cozy venue...........doesn't crack my top 5 though.

Saw Queensryche on the Mindcrime tour, not much a fan of anything after that album they put out though, but enjoyed all their albums previous to Mindcrime. Still listen to Mindcrime every so often all the way through, just a well done album front to back.
Not sure if it's on there or not, but you can check and see if that PF song might be on that covers album they put out not too long ago.
Maybe I'll bust out that first album and give it a listen right now for some queen of the ryche. And yes, Rockenfield on drums is a machine, the guy was known for pretty much doing single takes on all of their songs in the recording studio if I remember correctly.

Ahhhh.......I don't feel that old. As long as I can keep seeing bands from my younger days I'll be happy.
Just saw that Crosby,Stills,& Nash are coming to a small venue here in June.............& later on, Mark Knopfler. Not sure my wallet can keep up with this much longer.

I saw Queensryche twice, unfortunately I missed the empire/operation mindcrime concert....where they played that exclusively, maybe threw in take hold of the flame but from what I was told it was an unbelievable concert....too bad after Empire they pretty much circled the drain....
