Rolling Stones farewell tour in 2010-2011 ...

Question

Looks like they will do one last big stadium tour before they retire (the lads are getting older).

What i am not happy about though is that they in the entirely first set will play "Dirty Work" in its entirety. Come on really? Is that some sort of joke, perhaps one of their weakest albums.

In the second set they will only play songs from 1773 and onwards.. nothing of the old stuff.

I know they can do whatever they want because they earned it but really.. no old hits?

I dont know what to make of all this..

Dirty Work had two great sons on it."Back To Zero" and "Winning Ugly"."Harlem Shuffle" is tolerable.They should not do any other song on that album. No one gives a shit.They should be playing Monkey Man, Midnight Rambler, Sympathy For The Devil, Shattered, Honky Tonk Woman, and obviously songs like that.................in their "final tour" (if they are going to perpetrate final tour fraud again for the 6th fricking time just to get that last 250 million they don&#x27;t fricking need)

Yeah seems like they do not care about the fans regarding this tour. I seriously doubt i would go watch their concert with that set list.

Me neither. No chance, unless someone gave me seriously killer seats at face value perhaps.

I'd much rather see one of the Dave Matthews concerts instead.

I'll cut off a foot if I fail to get to one of the Roger Waters' concerts. He's added so many dates. I'll be flexible as shit in time to pick the city in terms of shopping price instead of trying to see him in a place like Chicago and pay out the ass.

Hope to see Waters in Copenhagen. Saw his last show when he was in Denmark. It is just to bad that his voice is not really there to sing some of the songs of Floyd.

I saw the Tattoo You Tour it was the Los Angeles, Ca.

Also The Some Girls Tour Anaheim, Ca. (2 times and both Great Shows!)

Nothing from Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers or Exile on Main Street! That was my favorite period of music from them. So, they are tired of playing some of the top songs from those records. Why not play other less popular / known songs? Not diss the whole period.

Instead of playing You Can't Always Get What You Want hit us up with Love in Vain. No Brown Sugar? Then how about Sister Morphine or Can't You Hear Me Knocking. Tired of Tumbling Dice? Take us on a journey with All Down the Line but, do not leave out songs from these great records.

I am still wanting to see them one last time though. They are and always will be The Greatest Rock and Roll Band

I saw The Who&#x27;s first farewell tour and I think 4 or 5 followed.&#xD;&#xA;I&#x27;ve seen the Stones enough times in my day.  My best bud was their lighting director for the Steel Wheels tour.  He has some stories to tell for sure.&#xD;&#xA;Keith does not get enough credit IMO. No matter how fuck*d up he is, he can still play guitar and lead the band.&#xD;&#xA;  Mick&#x27;s face looks like the pucker of my asshole and is just too hard to watch these days.&#xD;&#xA;Maybe I&#x27;ll catch their next farewell gig when they are using walkers and wheelchairs......

RichardA&#xD;&#xA;Most stories dealt with women who approached the crew. &#xD;&#xA; He also got to hang out with Keith quite a bit and did some heavy drinking, but no coke or smack.  He said Keith has sworn that off but still can put away a 5th of booze in the evening while playing a set on the road like it was nothing at all. &#xD;&#xA;Keith&#x27;s cast off bitches were tasty as well.  My bud would call me from the road and ask me what day of the week it was.  Crazy.
