April Talladega Race

I don't hang around on the NASCAR forum too much.  I love it and I play fantasy Nascar, but I only bet it on occassion. 

I am going to the Talladega race in April with a group of guys.  Flying to Nashville and then driving the rest of the way.  Last time I went with this "group," we motorhomed it to Bristol for the night race.  Phenomenal.  Party most of the day, hit the race, chow and play hold 'em until 2:00 a.m., crash, rinse, repeat. 

Anyway, the act of actually meeting a covers member has made it to my bucket list.  If any of you guys are going to that race and are interested in hooking up for a beer (we are camping, by the way), let me know. 

We're a bunch of 39-43 white collar pen pushers.  Don't give a $hit whether a person has $5 to their name or $5 million to their name....as long as they like racing and aren't packing heat. 

I've been involved in racing for about 23 years.  Most of it drag racing (my brother and I had a Super Pro Camaro that we bracket raced for about 20 years. And racing is racing.  If you have seen a pair of tits at a drag race, you've seen them at a Nascar race. 

If anyone wants to shake a hand and drink a beer at the Talladega race, let me know. 

Haven't gone in years myself, but you will be impressed by the sheer size of the track + speeds of course. They have cleaned the place up dramatically since the old days + it is not near as rough as it once was. I can tell you that camping in the infield will still be quite the experience. If you have any questions i would be glad to answer them + if i can not, i certainly know some true veterans that could. I lost interest when Davey Allison died, but still love the big tracks + keep up with it enough to place an occasional wager myself. Doubt i will be there, but have a good time + enjoy your trip to the Heart of Dixie
