Last time out at Bristol, a disappointing 2-3. YTD 55-55, down 5.95 units. Missed out on the NW race yesterday, had to go to 2 weddings and with practice and qualifying on all day never saw any lines. Trying my hand at these five tonight:
Earnhardt -135 over Harvick-This is a Jr. friendly track, and he's finally showing signs of life with back to back top 10s. Harvick's lost season continues, he couldn't even run well at Bristol. Hopefully his NW dominance last night won't translate.
Mears -125 over Hornish-07 is more consistant, better history. Sam seems to still be getting finishes in the 30 when not pulling off the occaisional top 10, and didn't look too sporty in practice.
Kenseth +120 over Biffle-both guys battling for the final Chase spots, have to back my 17 at + odds. He's the 2nd best avg. finisher here the last five years. Actually looked decent in practice and qualifying, which usualy means a good finish for Matt. Biff is great or awful here, so we'll see.
Kurt +120 over Kyle-everyone seems to think the 18 will run great this week because he "has to". Don't think it's that easy. Kyle hasn't always been a great pressure performer before. Big bro dominated this race in the spring, and looked better in practice. Give me the plus odds.
Hamlin -115 over Kahne-Hamlin has quietly been on quite a tear the last ten races other than a tough run at Indy. 11 looked really quick in the first practice, guys were even on top speed in Happy Hour but Denny had a much better average speed.
GL to everyone, looking forward to watching these guys go 200 mph under the lights and drinking some beer tonight!!
