The worlds fastest half mile is a track where drivers tend to go on major runs over a few consecutive years and really dominate. Kurt Busch won five times from 02-06, then Kyle Busch won 5 of 9 races from 07-2011, Brad Keselowski has won back to back races here in 2011-12 and finished 3rd in this race last year leading 62 laps. All three of these drivers have a very aggressive style of racing that tends to pay off when racing at BMS. The best car doesn't necessarily win here it's more who can get up on the wheel and make the car fast or as Kyle Busch puts it "Drivers have to do a lot of manipulation with the racetrack with their car in order to try to make the best of it"
It takes a little bit of luck to survive 500 laps on the .5 mile track but I feel confident that if any of the 3 are near the front at the end of the race that they can bring home the trophy. Looks like rain is in the forecast for both races which is sucks because this is my favorite track and I hate waiting! With the new tire spitting rubbing all over the top groove we may just see the old style of bristol racing where the bottom is the preferred line and the bump-n-run was inevitable!

Nobody has been better here since they repaved the track in 07

Penske cars have a jump on the new rules package and are looking strong.

Tied with his brother kyle for the most win by an active driver at 5. Had a dominate car in the race here last year, plus he is in better equipment this year with SHR.
His aggressive driving style fits the track.

Great short track racer, and as I am writing this he just landed the pole! Wasn't originally on my radar but at +1400 I couldn't pass him up.
.5 units - Clint Bowyer +1950
He would have 4 top 10's in the last 4 races if he didn't get spun by a lap car while leading the night race here last year.
He is good on the high banked tracks.
