Gonna start the contest this week at Daytona. Pretty simple rules
You pick your best driver (the driver you think is going to do the best)
You pick your worse driver (the driver you think is going to do the worse)
Your worse driver points will be determined based on where they finish. The best driver will be scored just the opposite. For Example...
If your worse driver finishes 43rd...you get 43 points. If he/she finishes 10th...you get 10 points.
If your best driver finishes first, they will get 43 points (plus a 5 point bonus). If they finish 40th they will get 4 points.
You can only use one driver once as a best, and once as a worse. For example, you can use Jimmie Johnson as your worse driver this week at Daytona, but you can't use him as a worse driver the rest of the year. You can still use him as your best driver one time though.
When the chase starts, all the drivers will reset.
I'm still finalizing what to do if someone doesn't get their picks in. I think i've got it figured out, but I'm still deciding. I'll post it later this week.

Here's what we will do this year for not getting your picks in on time.
Picks have to be in by green flag. However, it's a long season, and I understand mistakes can happen. If you forget to put your picks in, but the race is less than 20 laps in, you can put your picks in, but you're only allowed this once this year...we'll call it this contests version of the Lucky Dog. If you forget completely, or the race is over 20 laps complete...it's your fault. And no, you can't change your picks 20 laps into the race if your guy isn't doing well or wrecked. On a similar note, if you forget to submit your picks, and you get your picks in before 20 laps, you're not allowed to pick a guy that's wrecked as your worse driver. If you do that...you'll get a 0 along with being publicly scorned by me.
In the event that you forget your picks, or submit them too late, you will receive the following score:
The worse score of the week, subtract 10 points.
So if the worse score of the week after the race is over is 50 points...you'll receive 40 points. If the lowest score is 35 points...you'll receive 25 points.
That way somebody doesn't get killed by getting a 0, but there is a stiff penalty. Since that person didn't pick any drivers, there won't be a penalty for losing drivers...I don't see it fair to subtract drivers from a players pool if they are being penalized by points. (similar to the golf contest many of us are familiar with).
I'll put Week 1's thread up Friday after the Duel's are complete...let's have a great year!
