This week was a complete disaster, and could be the turning point of the season. This week was a weekend of firsts. Lets start with the really bad news. Unfortunately, not 1, not 2, but 3 guys picked their best driver as Dale Jr. who finished last. That’s good for 1 whole point. We had a record amount of low scores this week with 3 guys finishing with less than 30 points. Twofan unfortunately has the honor of having the lowest scored of the season with 12 points. Second worse score of the season is a tie at 13 points between AshyLarry and Alangrrbs. Speaking of Alangrrbs, his lack of ability to properly put his picks in while on the road resulted in a first. We have our first ever “Same Driver Picked as Best and Worse” in the same race. The move looked odd at first, but it is legal. Denny Hamlin had not been picked as a worse or best driver for Alangrrbs all year, so the move was within the rules. The most interesting thing about this move is that there were only 2 possible point totals. If Denny Hamlin would have won he would’ve received 40 points for the win (Best), 1 point for the Worse, and a 5 point bonus for a total of 46. All other finishing positions for Denny resulted in a point total of 41 points for the race.
Congrats to LooseLugs who had a monstrous week compared to everyone else and had the high score of the week with 70!!! This score will greatly affect the standings as you will see below.
