I'm watching an interview with Dale Jr...I gotta be honest, I've never been a huge fan of his, and in this interview he was talking about being interested in driving trucks in the future, driving only the nationwide when he's done racing in the Sprint Cup, and thinking about being tired of the grind of the NASCAR season. I took away that he has the look of a guy who is getting really burned out. He said some of the right things, but he also hinted at that he's not totally focused.
I've heard some of the ESPN "experts" say they think he's excited about this upcoming season. Of course they have to say that since JR=Ratings, but after watching that interview and watching him in some of the races last year I'm not going to be real anxious to lay money on him...especially as the season goes longer. He could be a guy to fade as the season goes on.
Also, side note...and everyone may laugh at me for this. He briefly mentioned in an interview last year that he's a huge football and fantasy football fan (Redskins in particular I think), and that when there's a race on Sunday during football season, he asks for updates on his fantasy team and the Redskins over the radio throughout the race. Not exactly a guy that seems totally into a race.
I could be wrong, but that's what I noticed. Thoughts anyone?

You would be correct about football for sure, Jr. always seems to start the season off strong every year, but fades down the stretch. It seems to have happened time and time again. I will expect him to be strong until we hit the HOT summer months, than with him not being in tip top shape I think it effects him. I honestly believe he will win a race this year, heck, he should have won 3 last year.

I hate to say it, but you can tell he lacks the determination the old man had. Everything was given to Jr. in his life. I just hope he doesn't realize the opportunity he's been given too late.
