Daytona 500

Question

After catching a fair amount of practice and the Shooutout over the weekend, I think it is becoming clearer who the cars to beat are going to be for the Duels and the 500.

No odds yet for the Duels, but I will be on the 20, 14 and 29. The 20 dominated the early practices, and the 20, 14, and 29 dominated in the Shootout. I am guessing that they will be strong in the Duels, and will get a solid starting spot for the 500, so I will get in now.

Kenseth 12-1 50 to win 600. As soon as he signed with Gibbs, I thought that he would win the 500 with the 11 pushing.

Harvick 10-1 45 to win 450. Possibly a slight over-reaction to the Shootout, but he controlled that race and his car was strong on the top and bottom.

Stewart 12-1 40 to win 480

I'll wait to see what happens in the Duels to see if I need to add anyone else, but at this point, I don't see a longshot or anyone else really having a car/driver that can work past these three. Good luck, and here's to a NASCAR season with plus money.

Love your picks--especially the Kenseth pick. Going to put a little on him early as he's 14:1 at 5Dimes, and I doubt that gets better.

I'll consider adding others depending on how the Duels go.

I don&#x27;t see any real real long shots winning either, maybe someone like jamie or even kurt, but I think handling will come into play a little more this year. In the unlimited it was like 40 degrees come sunday it will pushing 80. I also noticed that montoya and ambrose lost the draft in the last segment not sure why, either they lost the handle on their cars or they just backed off. Biggest mystery so far is how good are the gibbs cars? 11 and 18 wrecked out too early of the unlimited to know what they had and Kenseth had zero help in the last segment. Cant wait for practice later to get a better idea of the racing we will see, if they get it any big packs? every ones so scared to wreck   lol vaginas. So few options for betting here in the states, bookmaker had tony at 15-1 for most of the day yesterday, but they wouldnt accept my card for some reason   hes 12-1 there now and 9-1 at dimes. I did get him at 7-1 for the duel.

Duel 1: Harvick to win 50 to win 200. Stewart 35 to win 140. I got horrible odds on Kenseth for Duel 2, so no play.

Kenseth for Saturday 7-1. 40 to win 280.

Stewart for Saturday 4-1. 40 to win 160.

I've got my eye on Biffle and Bayne for Sunday, but I will probably stick to my gut with what I have. I think the weather will be something to consider. Hot and slick possibly. All of the variables in the race lead me to believe that one of the usual plate racers will win the Duels, Nationwide race, and 500. I appreciate the input gentlemen.
