Been a long two weeks. Atlanta was a complete disaster, if it could go wrong it did for me in that race. Now its time to start digging.
Weather could play a factor today so thats concerning but other than that excited about the race at one of my favorite tracks.
Match-Ups
1.50 units Scott Speed (-130) over Sam Hornish (@5dimes)
Even though Speed has gotten off to a great start this year and did finish 15th here last August, this play is probably more of one against Hornish. He has yet to show he can handle this place(33rd place avg. finish in 4 starts-best is 29th) and until he does.....
1.50 units Marcos Ambrose (-115) over David Reutimann (@sportsbook)
3rd and 10th here LY for Ambrose.....fluke???? Don't think so, this cat is a wheel man and is improving with every trip back to a track
1.50 units Denny Hamlin (+145) over Jimmie Johnson (@thegreek)
Sorry start to the season by Hamlin but this is where he starts to pick it up. Outstanding short track driver who is also good on flats. With Bristol, Martinsville and Phoenix the next 3 stops I think his season is fixing to turn around. Should be Top 5 with a shot at the win.

Much like Hamlin, the next few weeks is where Jr. has to make a move. Most think he is best on the plate tracks but really the short tracks are his bread-n-butter (8.0 avg in last 16 starts at BMS/ 11 Top 10's/7 Top 5's and 1 Win)
1.00 unit Mark Martin (-125) over Jeff Gordon (@5dimes)
Ran 2nd and 6th here in 2009, looked good in practice Saturday. Gordon has yet to put the pieces together through the first 4 races. His 3rd place run at Vegas has been the only finish better than 18th. Must admit though his car has been strong this weekend.

Pure gut call on this one. As I said yesterday, I think Carl is out to prove something this weekend.
