Handicapping Nascar?

Question

I am new to this site and I had no idea people could handicap NASCAR races this is mind-blowing to me. I am trying to learn how to handicap how does one go about it? Yet another way to make money it does not get better than this. To many variables to me since in sense you are mixing man and machine.

I get that for example, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a great racer and has a great crew but still the mechanical aspect how do you handicap that?

A lot goes into predicting how you think a driver will finish a race. Clearly we can&#x27;t predict when and engine mishap happens, but we can look at data that backs up how a driver tends to run at certain tracks. You can look at loop data, driver ratings, previous history and also how a team has looked thus far during the year. Matchups are were the money is to be made...We all play To Wins but that is more of playing value and getting lucky. Example, Edwards opened up as a 20-1 fav. this week, well last year he won 1 race here and nearly won the second. There is great value in him at those odds hence the early play. I am sure more people can add to this, but just hang around in here all year and you will learn a lot. Good luck this year.

Matchup&#x27;s r where the  is playing Nascar is kind of like golf matchup&#x27;s sometimes u r playing the mu because u like the guy u r betting on and sometimes u r fading the other guy and sometimes I just can&#x27;t pass up a mu due 2 value... hitting a winner takes some knowledge but more luck if u ask me ... I agree with both post above. Match ups is where I make my money. I usually always play small on long shots to win and very rarely expect them to come in. If I feel strong about a certain driver winning a race I will bump up my wager as you can get well quick hitting the winner.
