if that had been jr. leading when that fire happend nascar would have called the race!!!
No fucking doubt. My old man and I talked about that today. Fucking Nascar. Jr. Stewart any of top guys but a Blaney, Cassil, Raines finish fucks up there day. Wish it was pure. Thats why I love golf. Purest sport there is imo.

I've heard of the courses being tailored to Tiger's liking so I can't quite buy that argument.
With that said, the fans deserved to see the checkers and I don't think the 36, 83 and 26 being up there had anyithng to do with there decision to go back racing.
Tommy Baldwin seriously seemed uncomfortable with the thought of that race ending at the 160 mark to me.

bullshit, it didnt matter who was winning at that point...They could not have justified stopping the race when nothing was wrong with the track, just a bunch of haters......

OK lets see. First of all Jr. said over the radio "This track is not ready to be raced on." So there was something there and they did a great job getting it race-able. But lets also remember that these teams have to be on the track in Phoenix in just a couple days. Thats Daytona to Phoenix plus most have to drive back to their shops and get their cars for Phoenix as they are completely different. So in this case the gamble to race payed off but had it failed Nascar would have been under so much scrutiny. I am glad they raced but I with all I have mentioned I truly believe had Jr., Kenseth, Stewart, Gordon, etc been up front they wouldnt have chanced it especially with long travel.
