I am taking Helio Castroneves at 4-1 for one unit. The three time winner is fastest when combining all the results of practice together and has finished in the top ten in all 5 races this year with a win and three top 5 finishes as well. The only reason for concern is that he did drop some speed in his last practice session run, but Penske will get it dialed back in before qualifying this Saturday.
My darkhorse is Alex Tagliani at 40-1. A relative newbie to the series { 3 top 10's in 6 races last year with Conquest Racing} he has 3 top 10's this year in 5 races with FAZZT Race Team. Really nothing special at first glance, but during the last pratice session he posted the 4th best time and that was enough for me to take a flyer on him at these odds for a quarter unit.
I will post some match-ups after qualifying sometime next week. Good luck on your plays this weekend gentlemen

latest update for ya'll to check out...couple of suprises to me, with Paul Tracy being the primary one ...lot of the value on these guys is going to disappear after qualifying, so pull the trigger if you're going to

was shocking to see how poorly Andretti Auotsport team did in qualifying. Tony Kanaan might as well change his last name to Andretti when he comes here, for he certainly has their luck at this track. I will be looking to fade Andretti's drivers in match-ups. Would be suprised if anyone besides the top 6 qualifiers wins this race.
Bruno Junqueria did turn some heads on Bump Day with a blistering 225.662. Might be someone who could surprise. He has two 5th place finishes in only four Indy 500 starts.

Love Tagliani, hit a qualifying play with him over Tracy already. What a weekend of racing we have coming up.
nice hit one of my favorite holiday weekends, and yes sir we do have some fine racing coming at us. Not often you play a 40-1 and feel like you have a legitimate shot at bringing it home It will still probably be a Penske or a Ganassi car though.
following are match-ups, but no odds yet...love #531 if the juice is not absurd

would have to agree...and of course they post a -155 on Tagliani vs. Rahal ....i would have to take Danica at +130 vs Kanaan, i think Kanaan has let this track get in his mind. Gotta think on these and will post them if/when i play any.

As bad as she was bitching about her car pole day I'd be afraid to do that but GL if you do

final play is Bruno Junqueira at 16-1 to finish in the top 3 for a quarter unit. As i mentioned before {post #8} his speed of 225.662 on Bump Day would have been good for 7th in the starting grid if the FAZZT Race Team could have found the sponsorship earlier in the month of May. But Formel BMW Europa made it happen. Certainly the fact that he has run only 14 laps {including qualifying} is reason for concern, but i'll take the chance with these odds. That's all i got, see ya on race day gentlemen.
