On to race three on the season at Vegas where handicapping races can be difficult. I find It's hard to pick a winner here because the race usually comes down to who can make the best adjustments to their car during the race or by fuel strategy at the end as the tires just do not fall off much. I think that practice and qualifying times prove to be almost worthless, although I did give some consideration to the them with all the unknowns with the new rules package, test session, and the Gibbs team struggling. It would be a good weekend to just sit back and see how it all plays out but I just can't do that... Kobalt Tools 400
1.25 units - Johnson +625 4 wins in last 10 starts, #48 team is great at in race adjustment to the car.I'm thinking the 4 hour test session Thursday is just what he needed this week to grab his first win of the season.
1 unit - Ky. Busch +850 1 Win in his hometown race - seems to race well here until he finds trouble.
1 unit - Keselowski +1125 Penske Fords looking strong so far under the new rules package. He ran near the front all race here last year.
.5 units - Kayne +925 Great race here last year (2nd) and always seems to run well at tracks with a decent amount of banking.Hendrick looks strong as a team so far this year.
.5 units - Kenseth +825 Other than 2 wins instead of 4 his stats are identical to Johnson here in the past 10 races. This would be a 1 unit play for my but he was not happy with his car at all after the test session, 1st practice, and qualifying. A lot of unknowns with the Gibbs cars this year.
Nationwide Race
1.5 units - Busch +200 * This was placed before he wrecked his primary car in practice and went to a backup car. Last year in this race he started 23rd due to Qualifying being rained
out as well as a practice session. By lap 23 he reached the top 10, top 5
by lap 60, and went on to finish 2nd.
He leads the series in fastest laps run (150) and laps led (274) over his 9 year career at the track.
.5 units - Keselowski +350 (cover) Based on his great run in the series last year. Haven't seen anything to suggest he won't go on the same run this year.
H2H Parlay Risking 2 units to win 3.73 Bayne over Smith -135 Crafton over James Buescher -155
