Rough one last week, 1-3. Took the YTD back to the negative, 74-69 down 1.06 units. Trying these today, no practices so going on history and current form, little nod to qualifying as it's so hard to pass here.
Stewart +130 over Hamlin-Stew starts a few spots higher on the grid, both have nearly identical average finishes here and 5 top 5s the last few trips. Guess Tony is the dog because he was near the bottom of the charts in the 1 prequalifying practice, but I'm liking it.
Sadler -115 over R. Gordon-the Reckless One does not mix well with the beatin' and bangin' at the giant paperclip. Average of 37th here the last 5 years, with 4 DNFs that were usually his doing. Sadler's average isn't stellar at 27th, but I'll take it here.
Newman -135 over Dale Jr.-Rocket Man on the pole, and I'll keep fading Jr. until proven otherwise.
Mears +130 over Reuitimann-speaking of sticking with what's working, Mears as a nice dog once again. The 00 has only one top 15 at Martinsville, average finish of 26th compared to 18.7 for Mears. Casey has been busting the top 15 with regularity the last six weeks.
J. Gordon +115 over Johnson-Jimmie can't win every race. Can he???? Gordon was Mr. Martinsville before the 48 stole it away from him, Jeffie is running well and has 13 consecutive top 5s at the track, starting 2nd. Odds just say one guy can't win for like a month straight and win the race every time at a certain track. So give me the live dog here.
