How do you miss 11 races and still win a championship?? That's like the NFL saying the losses the Cowboys had when Romo was out or the Steelers had when Big Ben was out didn't count and they would still make the playoffs by winning X Amount of games. I hate how they are changing rules mid-season nowadays. Fucking retarded. Ruining the sport.

The Chase was exciting...lots of drama...it came down to the last race...all that being said........
I'm with you on this. Guy misses half the regular season pissing off sponsors, disappointing fans, making his team deal with his absence...and by the way he was hurt racing in a different series. I understand rewarding guys for going for the win...but missing all those races, and still getting a shot to make the Chase...not sure I can get behind that.
Let's not also forget the last caution for "debris". The camera shows a crumbled water bottle on the apron where nobody races...the announcers claim the guy in the flag stand saw debris, and they show a random piece of something that is the size of my hand (that someone probably threw on the track), and that decides the championship.
I was watching the race with my wife, and 10 laps before I told her they would throw a random caution. It's bad enough they do these last lap cautions, but when you can predict it...it's not good for the sport.
If you want the race/Chase to come down to the last second...just start running heat races, and sprints like they do at the local level.

I like the rule. Kyle dominated for a stretch when he came back. Anything less and he would have been excluded. The rule is fair and a true Champion was crowned. Kyle earned it 100%.
