I like Newman to be strong at the end. He's a guy that can take care of his car over the course over a long race...I expect him to hang around and end up around the top 10.
Love this matchup. The last month Stewart is averaging finishing outside the top 20...Hamlin always seems to have a strong showing at this race.

Why not race 600? They do 24 hours at Le Mans. It's called endurance. Nothing wrong with throwing in something like that once a year IMO.
Thanks for the comment Hutch...always love good conversation.
IMHO 500 miles or 600 miles is too much. If you're going to have an endurance race, have it be 1000 miles. Or whoever completes the most laps in 8 hours. When they do these races that are 500 and 600 miles, it's 30 laps at the beginning to see what cars are doing...and then lots of boring stuff til the last 100 miles. I'd love to see some races do three 50 lap races of 15 drivers...the top 8 in each heat goes to the final...have a final race of 100 miles, and crown the winner. Shake it up...try something different...I just don't see how a 600 mile race is interesting. Just my take.

I <3 NASCAR, Alan! I like the 600 Miler! I do agree with you though and throw in a few races to be like the Sprint Cars on a Sat. Night e.g. World of Outlaws! It be an interesting twist with Points counting also! Say a Mile Track like N.H., 1.5 Mile Track like Kansas, and 2 Mi. either Mich. or TX and a short track!
