Liking the board today. Going with 6 matchups, could have probably rolled out 2 or 3 more but they weren't as strong as these I felt:
Kahne -140 over Dale Jr.-The 88 is just not running well right now, with his finishes in the last 4 points races being 22nd, 30th, 18th, and 32nd. Kahne looks good in practice, has a pretty good history here with a win and 4 top 10s the last 8 races here.
Hamlin -150 over Kyle-Hamlin will be a contender for the checkers today, and bottom line is Kyle just isn't very good here. Average finish of 21.4 the last 8 with only 1 top 10.
Johnson -110 over Kyle-see above. Jimmie turned the 2nd fasted practice lap and had the 2nd best average speed. With 6 top 10s in the last 8 trips to the triangle, I think the 48 team will get their woes straightened out today.
Stewart -120 over Bowyer-Smoke hasn't been hitting on all cylinders this year, but has the best average finish of any driver the past 8 trips at 8.6 with a win, 4 tops 5s and 7 top 10s.
Harvick +125 over Burton-Guys have a very similar history here, both averaging about 12th the last 8 trips. Burton topped Happy Hour, but Harvick actually had the better average speed. Sounds like a coin flip situation, I'll take the quarter point edge on the odds.
Newman -120 over Logano-Joey didn't take to the track too well on his first go around last year, average finish of 25th. Newman is strong here, average finish of 11th recently.
GL to everyone out there today. Going to go hit the links, then probably come home and take a nap as I attempt to watch this boring race.
