took a beating last time out, dropped the YTD 56-59, down 9.45 units. Seems like every time it looks like I'm clawing my way back to the plus side I'll have two or three bad races that knock me back down, I think this is the low point of the season. hopefully back on the uptrend tonight with:
Bowyer +110 over Kurt-one of Clint's best tracks, Kurt has cooled off a bit lately and now has the distraction of his crew cheif announcing he's leaving next year. Give me the plus odds, but concern that the 33 has not looked to hot on some of his good tracks the last two after seemingly turning things around.
Reutimann -145 over Ragan
McMurray +150 over Ragan-Reutto has made good improvements at this track and looked good in practice. So did Ragan, but it's David Regan (and not the 2008 version). McMurray has been putrid at the layout, but he did have his best run at this track just this spring with a 7th and there's no way I'm not taking a shot on the biggest dog on the matchup board when the competition is this year's 6 car.
Hamlin -120 over Martin-is this the year that Denny finally pulls through on the local layout?? Definitely has a shot and I think Martin might go a little well, Mark Martin and take a smooth, conservative run tonight to make sure he gets into the Chase. Could still mean a top 10 finish, but don't think that will be good enough.
Newman -150 over Burton-looks like Harvick has gotten his act together, so I'll take on the 31 as the car to fade. Don't like playing two big chalks, but Newman is solid here and looked much better in practice.
Staying far far away from doing anything with Kyle. He could win the race going away, crash in the first 50 laps trying to run like a mad man, turn somebody in to the wall, who knows. Hopefully the 17 car can hang on to last spot for me, even though he has pretty much done nothing after week 2 of the season.
GL to everyone tonight, the remote is going to be busy with CFB action all over.

Thanks guys. Just thinking back to last year at this exact moment when I was at the race but it was postponed over hurricane concerns so me and my boys were at half way through a $170 bar tab at BW3's about now between 4 of us before a relaxing evening of viewing some sites at the Paper Moon down town. Good times

Alright, that's more like it. Days like today remind me I sometimes know what I'm doing. 4-1, plus 3.5 units. And Bowyer was 6th but Kurt had a surprisingly stout run.
YTD now 60-60, down 5.95 units. The quest continues next week at New Hampshire.
