just read the article on espn about season needs to b shorter!!!! I have a good buddy that works for Sprint and he has told me Nascar wouldn't mind it by 3 or 4 races and the drivers would love it but Sponsors, Bruton Smith and the 3 privately owned tracks aren't 4 it!!!
If u were to remove 4 races what would they b ?? I think every1 would say 1 pocono for sure my next 3 would b Mich.,Dover and Char. That would b taking 2 races from privately owned tracks which we would never here the end of it!!! then 1 from ISC and 1 from Bruton Smith... Love 2 hear back from regulars on here... and no we're not removing both road courses

Atlanta would lose its only race Pocono loses one Phoenix Michigan
Would b ok with 3 of the 4 don't think Atl will ever lose there race!!!! take 1 from char. or Dover.. Dover is privately owned I think that is a factor also

I think the reason that attendance is down is the scheduling. There is no reason to be running Martinsville Bristol or a night race at Richmond in the month of April. Most people want to go to a race and enjoy a cold beer not hot chocolate. That why they elect to watch the race on the tube versus attending a race. Who wants to buy a ticket in advance when it could be snowing.
I know I will be in minority here but It would`nt bother me one bit if they take the two boring est races of the schedule. Talledega and Daytona..

If Atlanta lost its only race, drivers and fans would be pissed as Hell. They do need to move it from Labor Day weekend as college football starts that weekend and so many fans have been waiting months for it. Darlington should always have 2 races but those days are over. Losing one Pocono for sure wouldn't bother anyone. They are usually about a month apart and it always rains and they have no lights.

agree I went 2 Martinsville this year and was freezing the wind was brutal!!!! I wouldn't mind if they took dega's chase race and I am sure the drivers would love that 2!!!

They should just make it to where Daytona is the only track that gets two races. Additionally, Charlotte, Daytona, and Talladega as the only races that go 500 miles (keeping the 600 at Charlotte). Add Iowa and Road America to the Cup schedule, and then add a race in Colorado.

It is just too logistically tough to get to many of these race tracks, and they won't sell out some of these tracks anymore because the locals are being priced out of the market.

Loudon wont lose a date because they still sell out and one of the closest to NYC. They pull from everywhere with the fanbase. They are always on the proverbial cut list but its not happening. I say Atlanta because they cant get the attendance. I kmow race date would work and I love Atlanta but see it being a possible cut
