2011 Nascar Season: -$160

Should be a very exciting opening points race for the 2011 Nascar season tonight. I was hoping to see odds for James Buescher both to win and in matches but was dissapointed when checking the odds at 5Dimes. I think James is a championship contender this season and although I don't like his win chances enough tonight to make a Field play, he will win a race or more this season. Would have certainly made a match play with him tonight but don't seem to have that option and not in the mood to do any shopping at the moment.

To Win:

Todd Bodine +425 risk $50. Todd has finished in the Top 5, the past 6 races at Daytona.

Austin Dillon +825 risk $30. Fast in both practices and sitting on the pole is enough reason for a play here.

Race Matches:

Todd Bodine -150 v Johnny Sauter to win $200

Austin Dillon -125 v Timothy Peters to win $100

On Bodine as well. Sauter has a history of burning cash for me. Though I have to say I got it at -145. Taking Horny over Sauter also.

As most people are, expecting great things from Dillon this yr. Should be fun to see how he progresses.

-$505 for the race. As happy as I am for Waltrip and his backers at what turned out to be an awesome final 30 laps, I could not have been more snake bit in that race. Peters is the only truck to get through certain death and it takes 2 huge wrecks from Bodine for Sauter to win a match he never had a chance in otherwise. Tough start to the season and my Daytona bankroll but a win that brought a smile to my face nevertheless. 10 years to the day and Waltrip back in Victory lane. Congrats to him and back to the drawing board for me even with a race I had capped well.
