my wife is up there now, said it is supposed to rain all day....not looking good at all for racing today.

Typical Pocono. Worst track to go for a race. It's either 95 degrees, or it rains all day. I've been to 9 races there, and it's always one of the two. I said two years ago i will never go to another race there again, even though it's so close to where I live.

It also doesn't help that the first 50 laps are cool, the last 50 laps are usually exciting, but the middle 100 laps are boring as Hell.

For what it is worth I live not to far from there and the rain has stopped here.....I can see a wash out though from what I've been hearing.

you are dead on sir, used to live about 40 minutes from the track, used to go to both races every year with about 10-20 people, it was really an excuse to go party and getted F'd up, never did watch much racing there...

agreed...great infield party scene....thats about it.....but that was certainly enough at the time! get there early saturday morning....and god knows how....make it home sunday night

The last race I went to there, it rained all morning. It was delayed, then started, and rain was coming. Newman was leading with Gordon second. They just passed the 100 lap mark, and Gordon was coming up on Newman. My friend bet hard on Newman to win. One lap after Gordon passed him, they threw the caution, then called the race and Gordon won. My friend spent the next ten minutes cursing out NASCAR loudly in the stands. Very funny if it isn't you. We agreed never go to Pocono again.

You guys are right though, it is a good excuse to tailgate with a bunch of people.

yeah, they are trying to fluff it up on race day saying there is a clearing starting at 200.  Problem is it takes 2 hours to dry and np lights.  This track NEEDS to lose a date.

it shows a clearing right now and some bands can pop up.  Will this happen today

They're saying start in a hour and a half, race 500 miles. I doubt it, this race will likely run about 350 miles.

PPD, the forecast I'm seeing calls for rain tomorrow and clear tuesday. Want to see it all run tomorrow.
