2-1 Documented Yesterday
Cavs and Bulls Under was a dud Bulls came to play
Celts/Knicks under was a winner knicks offense struggles again
Jazz/Clips under was about 7 points off and I think it ended right about where the line should have been
+5 units
I forgot to mention in my first picks post I play all games the same 5 units.
Today I am doing something I have never done before play 6 NBA games in one night. Its alot but I love this card. I feel we are figuring out who these teams are.
Rockets -3
76ers coming off a nice win against a struggling Pistons team. Embid is playing well and will give the rockets trouble with no Nene in the middle but even with no nene, paul or ariza the rockets are a great value at only -3. With the full lineup rockets are minimum -12. Rockets coming off of a loss I feel should make them put effort in tonight and won't want to be embarrassed two straight games.
Hornets/Nuggets Under 210.5
Either i am missing something which I could be or this is a replica of last night Jazz/Clips game. This line seems to be about 7 too high to me I expected it to open at 203. Nuggets play at a good clip but Hornets play slow and are way to reliant on Kemba 1on1 to get alot of tempo. Hornets offense has been poor so far this year couldn't even score a bucket in the last 3 mins of the bucks game. I see this game 106-97 Nuggets.
Nuggets -2
See above! Im going with the better offensive team here on a short spread. Howards inability to shot free throws i killing the hornets like it hurts the clips with Jordan. I expect the bigs of the nuggets to be aggressive on Howard.
Memphis -4
Memphis looks good and played a very impressive game at Houston the other night. Conley and Gasol are to their usual form and playing defense which is soemthing most teams don't play. Dallas is missing the offense Seth Curry provides and with the defense of the Griz I don't see the Mavs having enough to avoid a Loss at home and by a decent margin.
Spurs -4
Leonard is my favorite current player in the league so Im missing him more then the spurs it seems as the role players have stepped it up. Aldrige is playing well and with NO Whiteside the heat are in trouble. Dragic and Waiters sound like they may play that would make this closer and is the reason for the short spread here. Spurs cover maybe by double digits down the stretch.
Utah/Suns Over 204
Utah offense purely stinks BUT I believe the suns defense is worse. Watching he Sac/Suns game the other night I saw so many layups and wide open jumpers by both teams it was crazy. The suns will run as thats the only strength they have is to outscore the opponent in a pure shootout. The jazz will try and slow the pace but will be intrigued by the wide open looks and layups they will get with some pace. This one may be a nail biter but I think it gets done.
