and 31 % both squads. Ugly basketball.
NBA needs to make the court 2ft wider and longer. Move the 3pt line back 1ft. I don't think it matters as much in the long run, players will practice and perfect the shot no matter how long, unless new rule to limit 3pt shots. It's boring to watch. The 80s and 90s my kind of basketball, physical. Lambier. Rodman. Rambis. Olajuwon. Duncan. Robinson. Jordan. Garnett. etc. Even college basketball is allowing flops and touch fouls now. Sad.

Modify the 3 pt line to eliminate the easy corner threes...would give defenders more of a chance to contest threes and discourage jacking up so many threes

Evolution is in everything. You are right what started as a specialty became mainstream. Why shoot a 20 footer for two points when a statistician tells you it's worth more to shoot the 24 footer for three points. An uptempo exciting gameplan which uses all 94x50 feet of the court. Then all five positions are better skilled than in prior eras and can score. I stopped enjoying basketball after the 1990s and the 2000s started bringing in the high school/streetball era. I always say maybe the players are more skilled in modern eras. But the overall aspects of how the game is played now is a far cry from the 90s and earlier. And that style was more encompassing, fundamentally sound, and plain better.

College basketball was a predecessor to the faster paced NBA version of jacking up threes quickly. You swing it around for 25 seconds and then fire up a three. I only played guard in basketball and loved the game. But I love my forwards and centers in the paint and on the block. Does anyone realize Dwight Howard never really more than one or two post moves his entire career? Rebounds and lobs with the Magic who shot tons of threes. Then you look up after he leaves Orlando and suddenly he is a journeyman shooting from the perimeter in the NBA and Taiwan. I think the only traditional mindset left in sports is the Yankees no facial hair policy. I respect Hal Steinbrenner for keeping with his father's wishes. Successful traditionalism is a good thing.
