The goal is simple, turn a $1000 bonus* bet into $25,000.
*Bonus bet means that the return of the initial wager equals the total return, minus the $1,000 bonus (e.g. @ odds of 3.50, return = $2,500 [3,500 - 1000])
I am not claiming to be some 'expert' capper. I don't want to encourage you to tail me - I just want to make this challenge public, so people can join, fade or simply enjoy the ride.
I'm going to try and minimise the number of selections made per day, however, tomorrow there are a few games I like, so I will start with this:
$1,000 bonus bet on
- Phoenix team total under 97.5 points
(like Indiana's D lately, have held teams under 100 at a decent rate - the two recent OT games make the totals appear higher)
- Boston Celtics ML
(value here as Knicks have been playing well and Boston's away from home, but they are the far deeper team to me)
- OKC-6.5 (alternate line)
(they will be fuming about how Portland stole that last game, I happened to catch the end of it and Lillard simply went into video-game mode. I think an outright win is highly likely, just need it to be by a reasonable margin of 7+)
- Cavs ML
(no strong reason, just like the Cavs at decent value with a team that seems to be getting stronger and more cohesive with each game that passes)
Odds: $7.74
Potential return: $6,735.33

first step will be the hardest. If today's bet doesn't get up then it's game over. If I can start with a win here then we've got some real cash to play with.

Cheers fellas,

It certainly is the shortest odds, however I wouldn't label it "safe". It's a parlay, so one goes down, the whole ship goes down. If you're wanting a "safe" pick to tail, I can't provide any strong guarantees or extra confidence. Sorry, but good luck with whatever you play!
