71% of public Money on OKC

According to thespread.com, 71% of the public is betting on OKC to cover this game. Whats more interesting, is that instead of an increased line movement to OKC -5.5 or even OKC -6, we are seeing the line move up to OKC -4.5 trying to attract more attention to it. As a Utah ticket holder today this seems like a good thing, what do you guys think?

I think we need to wait for the info about P.George and M.Mitchell, both players are game changers here, especially Mitchell. I don't see who can score 1 on 1 without Mitchell.

There rarely are free gifts handed out by the books. Tonite we see the public on the pacers and the thunder. I feel at least one, if not both don’t cover and with almost 75% on OKC, Utah and the points look good. Good luck amigo

Both Mitchell and George should play. If you ask me their “questionable” tag is purely to set the line and get the money moving direction to direction. It’s the playoffs and I forecast both teams best players will play tonite.

My play is on utah.

I think both paul and donovan will play....

I think too that consensus for this game is correct, i dont trust all the consensus, i just pick some and analyze if it is true...

Remeber utah beat spurs on the road before without mitchell, utah is resilient team specially if the game is a must win for them... they dont delay... so +4.5 is good...

Just my opinion.

I don’t think that public %’s mean anything from any websites to be honest. However, one thing I do look at when it comes to public money is pregame.com because they give up to date info on money bet with actual Vegas sportsbooks. Pregame gives % of bet tickets on a team and % of cash on each team. In my opinion this is the most accurate way to bet against the public if that’s what someone is looking to do. 

In this case, there is 52% of ticket on the Thunder while 82% of cash on the Jazz. This tells me there is likely sharp action on the Jazz while the public is on the Thunder. So with that said, I do agree that the Jazz is probably the right side in this game. I will definitely be on them as well. Good Luck

This makes no sense. You say all other sites that offer insight are incorrect yet pregame is? Brotha, unless you know some black market organizations who have true power of setting lines, you are not gonna get ultra accurate money and percentages on where the public is. I can tell you that there is more than 52% on OKC tonite. It’s a lot higher than that. Also no “free site” you can trust. The ones you need to listen to are the ones who have the coin to move the lines and the ones who work for those books.

Sometimes (actually many times) “public” wins. 

I bet big on okc game one and probably will bet them again tonight but not as big. OKC is just better suited for playoff basketball, having Westbrook and Paul is big on the playoffs. Meanwhile Utah depends on a rookie getting his first taste on the playoffs.

Yes I agreed public will win sometimes but not with okc and cavs, they’re working for Vegas, just bet against the public on these 2 teams

most public websites have small letters at the bottom of their odds page saying they're delayed. i know scores and odds is like an hour and a half delayed. sportsinsights is the best route if that's what you're looking for. some say it's BS, i say 40 bucks helps me out significantly, fake or real. if i can stay consistently profitable, whcih i am and am documented, then it's worth the investment in my eyes. however, i would not look to ANY public info for those kinds of numbers as they aren't working in the public's best interest
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

See this is why these numbers are important, everyone needs to remember on a nightly basis that Vegas puts out numbers they believe will get the most action on one team or another, not the true line.
