10 points seems like way too many for a team that should be more "up" for the game...yes the nets do need to scrape together wins to improve seeding but hard to imagine them firing on all cylinders for a ho-hum tuesday night roadie versus the mediocre magic...they are pretty much full and healthy at the moment and nobody has blown them out in their house recently..i just dont sense that nets will be fizzing and will ever really run away with a big lead...and still then orlando has good backdoor potential.
any counter opinions or strong reasons to expect a strong brooklyn showing here?

yep of course kyrie is a plus....but still wondering if they will be particularly motivated and not just going through the motions...my hunch is that magic will try and come out hard with something to prove against star studded "glamour team" nets...cheers for your thoughts.

nets also play tomorrow, which is huge in todays nba....durant might only play 28-30 mins if they wanna keep him fresh for tomorrow (kyrie cant play tomorrow)

yep, fair point....this just reeks to me of a game where they do just enough to get a W...which may bite them if theyre not careful..orlando has had some very nice upset wins recently...think im gonna take the plunge with the stinky magic.honestly expected this line to be around +7.5/8.

water always returns to its level so yeah thats a worry that they have been over-performing in their last 6 or so games..only a matter of time before they have a stinker.cheers for input guys.

The stretches Magic go in without scoring is worrisome. They went 7min in 3rd qtr and entire last 3min of regulation w/out scoring a FG against Philly. They do that tonight and they’ll be down 30pts in a blink of an eye.

okay, dont get all over excited about it..its gambling and there are different viewpoints for every game...you are kidding yourself if you think teams and players are ultra hyped to put on a great show every single night....do the nets wanna win??d'uh..of course they do..thats not the point.point is they HAVE TO win by 5 possessions against a terrible team that is last in the conference.you think kyrie and durant been up all night cos they are so excited about putting a beatdown on this team of scrubs??anythings possible but i suspect not...hopefully if nets dont cover you will be back in here to ask forgiveness for your stupidity...but i doubt that will happen.
sure, with the firepower brooklyn has they could run up a big score...but thats a big spread to cover and i'll pay to see it happen...its just one bet, nothing to flip out about.

heres the only thing with that type of thinking though, and im not necessarily talking about just this game in particular, but when you say "they need to win, they need to win, they are desperate, they need to build for playoffs".well, when teams are in a precarious position and need to win badly it normally means that they are not good enough to just "turn it on" at will and get wins whenever they need to.if they were then they likely wouldnt be in the bad position in the first place...soooooo many people lose so much money betting on teams that HAVE to win near the end of seasons in various sports.its just not that simple, doesnt work like that...more often than not the cohesion will be off and a team will be tight or tentative with the added pressure of the season slipping away.
again, that doesnt specifically apply to this game totally..but its just a flawed way of thinking overall...nets have "needed" wins in many, many spots the past 2 months to boost their seeding but for various reasons have failed to get them....and not only do they need to win this game but they need to do so by 5 buckets.teams certainly dont try and win by a particular margin, that dont mean shit in the standings...(well,except in extraordinary rare tie-breaker point differential scenarios)
