Coach Popovich&#x27;s Spurs playing B2B games in Florida tonight.None of this will be confirmed until game time - but it is HIGHLY LIKELY that Popovich will give some of his key starters the night off, or for them to be extremely limited in playing time tonight.Look for the SAS bench to take most of the load tonight.  While this doesn&#x27;t mean Orlando is  tonight (some benches play hard and have depth).  The Spurs do have some depth with Hill, Mason, Blair,Bonner.Like I said none of this will be confirmed until game time, but there are a few articles about Gregg Popovich resting his starters on B2B road games.

On another note, the Spurs can pretty much hit cruise control at this point with a playoff spot assured.

Coming into Orlando knowing that they might lose this game anyways - it could be an intentional fold by Popovich to keep his starters healthy for the playoffs.

yeah they will make the playoffs but why not try for the #6 seed? doesnt make sense to sit starters tonight when they have the 7th spot by only 1 game? No one wants to play the Lakers or Nuggets for the 1st round.

Also consider not many teams in this league would want to play this game in Orlando tonight. Very difficult situation on a B2B.

There will be one more B2B San Antonio game on the road this season.

March 28th @ Boston
Match 29th @ NJ (another game you can expect the starters to rest)

This is a strategic decision by the coach. I didn&#x27;t come start a thread saying that GPop does this 100% of the time.  But in MANY SIMILAR SITUATIONS in the past, he has opted to rest his best players B2B - Especially in circumstances against tough teams (such as Orlando) - rather than risk them getting hurt because they will probably lose the game anyways.If you wanted to play the Spurs, I think you are a day late.While this doesn&#x27;t mean that Orlando will definitely cover, because deep benches like SA can step up when needed.  I just wanted to make people aware of this situation, because it won&#x27;t be reported by any media outlet BEFORE the game.  That way you won&#x27;t be upset when Timmy and Manu play only 10 mins.
