Alright guys fiba summer tournaments are in full swing and got some basic tips for you in case you're not attend to the intl scene
1) beware of "legacy" teams
Intl tournaments are usually dominated by the same countries...usa, spain, france etc. However there's times when one of these powerhouse countries has a down year.
Take the spain u19 team for example...they're still lined as a top team but when u watch them u can tell this isn't the case...they only shoot 41% from the field, have no bigs, can't shoot the three ball...they beat an Egypt team by 7 when they were favored by 30!
U can get a ton of value fading these teams especially when they're favs as lines makers are slow to catch on
2) stats
Most important stats to look out for are fg% u want to know this team can put the ball in the basket first and foremost.
Other important stats include rebounds and assists...I know, these are important in any bball setting but esp more so in these tournaments where 2nd chance opps are so important.
3) don't be afraid to take big favs
Some of these lines contain the most value...the Spanish women are clearly the class of the current u20 women's tournament. They were lined at 21 points against Hungary today, believe they won by 40+ lines makers sometimes afraid to give out huge lines leaving a ton of value for taking favs
These are some basic things to keep in mind, will add more if I can think of any

Greece is hosting the u19 worlds. Were lined at 31.5 last game won by 52. We're lined as 6 pt favorites against spain and currently drilling them by 20. The home crowds help these young bucks a ton way more than the implied home court advantage the odds makers give them
