Ah the Ides of March - Spring is just around the corner, St. Paddy's Day festivities are set to kick-off and every sports betor is gearing up for the Madness.
There are no shortage of topics to discuss over the next few weeks and now that everyone has seen and (in most cases) filled out their bracket it's time to take a closer look at the early matchups.
I've been singing their praises all year and all I have to say is Back The ACC. Out of the Power conferences the ACC have the highest winning percentage (66.1%) since 2000. All of the first round matchups look delicious, with Maryland (+1 at Sports Interaction) and Boston College (+2) worth a few dollars on the Moneyline.
I actually like all 7 ACC team to go at least two rounds, with Duke, UNC meeting in the Final Four and FSU being the biggest sleeper. The one ACC team that does scare me is Wake Forest, who I could see going down to Cleveland St. in the first round. They're just too young, although this experience will work wonders for them down the road. Take the Vikings (+7.5) on Friday.
We all know that the cream rises to the top in March and this year will be no different. The ACC is the best conference and will make the most noise during the opening weekend.
