Ok guys... I've never posted in here and I'm just a small money usually $10 dollar parlay bettor...I don't have all the answers but looking at the posts in here.... this is just my opinion....a lot of you seem to like the Mavs in game 1 and in game 2...and I would love to see the mavericks win this championship but look at the last 5 meetings... Boston has covered all 5 of the meetings and until the Mavs can prove otherwise I can't see betting them...it seems to me the Celtics have their number...I have no way of knowing these games are fixed but assuming they are not I'd just have to keep taking the Celtics....

I'm a bit of a Boston homer because I grew up there, and everyone thinks Kyrie had an off night and will do better next time - not sure if they're just looking at the box score.
I didn't get to watch the game the whole way through myself, but they should understand that Kyrie is smaller than literally everyone on the Celtics lineup and they all know how to play good shutdown defense and can fight through screens and switch on defense for each other.
Boston basically shut down Kyrie and the rest of the Mavs bench and didn't allow any free/easy lobs like Minnesota's shitty defense did.
I don't see Game 2 going much differently unless Kyrie is just hitting non-stop, nutty shots right over taller/stronger defenders.
Everyone drank the "east is weaker than the west" kool-aid while not accepting Minnesota beat up on a shitty Suns team, then a weakened Denver team, and then went on to get dismantled by the Mavs.
I don't think Boston is gonna pull some BS and drop a Game 2 at home when it's the Finals - sure, they did it in the other rounds of the playoffs but they know it's their time.
Tatum didn't even put up that many points and knows he needs to take a different type of role this time around and facilitate more and draw double teams to set up shots for everyone else. You won't see him do like previous big games where he just wants to be the star and chucks up shots even when he's cold.

I agree with you... going by the last 5 meetings Boston has covered the 6 or 7 points Everytime and usually the win by double digits so I will stick with Boston...

This series is a complete mismatch. The Pacers (even without Hali) were a tougher matchup for the Celtics because of style of play. The played fast which caught Boston off guard while Mavs are very slow and methodical.
Today will be another blowout.
