When you have 10 units riding on a play, you get a little stressed. Having said that, there are 2 kinds of refs when it comes to these televised games that are the last game of the night. There are refs who know a team is undermanned (as the Clippers were tonight) and tries to keep the game close for the viewing audience, at least until the 4th quarter. That's what these refs tonight were trying to do. They wanted to keep the lead under 10 going into the 4th. So they swallowed their whistles on two blatant fouls on Curry and KD while shooting 3s. They call those and the lead balloons up to 15 and you can kiss your audience goodbye. Unfortunately, sometimes by trying to keep the game close until the 4th, these refs give the undermanned teams life, which can lead to an upset...Alright, kids. That is enough with the lesson for today. Net time, I'll discuss the second, more shady type of ref. Lucky for us, these refs were just intent on keeping things close till the 4th.
