Opening night! I'm definitely ready for some regular season action. Let's get this! As usual, all opinions and thoughts welcome. Let's keep the trolling to a minimum though.
Today's plays;
dallas +4 @ san antonio (1u, -108)
I feel a little dumb for letting this line move on me. I had it penciled in while it was still at 5, but failed to pull the trigger until now. San antonio has traditionally started the season slow. It seems to take a few games for them to really start finding their groove. Add to this ginobli playing like trash in preseason and really, the spurs in general looking disjointed...I see the mavs coming out with the win here, or losing at the buzzer.
That's it. I like pelicans but 10 is too much for a season opener. I like the lakers, but quite simply, who knows which version of kobe is going to show up.
Good luck everyone,
CT

you can always get a better line. Just wait till Spurs take a lead, mavs take a timeout (commercial break), and take mavs with a line better than 4.5 or higher than the original line via live betting.

and what if the spurs never take the lead?
The mavs are all calling this a "statement game"....
spurs get their rings tonight... i checked their last two games when they got their rings and they won both... but that was then....
i believe Leonard is out tonight

This is a really really interesting angle to take, the whole live betting factor. I ran that for awhile... I'd like to break it down further some day, but I stopped running this "system" for a few reasons which I'll touch on now;
1) It sucks sitting around waiting for your line. You spend time capping, then you spend time waiting for a better live line, it's just a massive time eater
2) These plays are usually juiced to hell! I know bet365 has a 20 point charge per side (or 40 points total for the book) and even pinnacle has it at 8 points per side (16 total)
3) Combined with #1, you spend how much time capping? Then there is no gaurantee that the line will move in your favor. I watched sooo many games only to never have my line come back up, or I leave a good one, hoping for a better one.
Just my 2 cents on that.
Everyone else, thanks for stopping in. Love some of the points in here and fantastic to see so many familiar faces.
