Rolling with the Pistons tonight +6.5
Covers Record 7-2
Good Luck Tonight!
This is an interesting pick. At first glance, one would wonder what could make anyone like the Pistons after the sorry performance they turned in on Monday night at home against the Kings? In that game, the Pistons had an early 10-7 lead and about half an hour later, they still had only 10 points. The Kings actually went on a 35-6 run and the game was o-v-e-r. The Pistons had the excuse that it was their first game back following a road trip through Houston, Cleveland, and Toronto, but afterwards Pistons head coach Dwane Casey refused to use that as an excuse. Furthermore, the Pistons were up against a team that badly wanted and needed a win. The Kings had dumped four in a row, with the latest being a terrible loss at Oklahoma City in which they blew an 18-point lead.
So other than wanting to atone for Monday's embarrassing home loss, why should we trust the Pistons to care about tonight's matchup against the Pacers? Well, a look at the Pistons' upcoming schedule shows us that if the Pistons don't win tonight, they may have to wait a long time to notch their next W. Coming into Little Caesars Arena in the coming week are the Warriors, Lakers, and Heat. After that it's a road trip that begins in Milwaukee and then heads west. Their next very winnable game won't happen until they return home on December 6th to host the Thunder.
Do I trust the Pistons to stay within 7 tonight? Not really, lol, but I might just yet talk myself into it and maybe some +245 moneyline action as well.

@MrBator
I've enjoyed your thoughtful posts for years prior to joining last week. Visually, I think the last game for Detroit was even worse than described as only two players for Detroit could even score. One could/should assume a better effort in this game for the reasons MrBator highlighted above. I believe the Pistons have lost their last 4 against the Pacers. This line is suspect. In my view, it looks too short. Knowing what we know about both teams that number looks like too easy of a number to cover if you're backing the Pacers. Over the past week I thought Tampa Bay was too easy against Washington and Brooklyn wasn't laying enough against the Pelicans. Last night's selection failed though as Santa Clara hammered Nevada in the second half. In my view, the Pacers are not laying enough points despite being on the road. I think the Pistons will be competitive tonight. While the money line is the ultimate conviction bang for your buck play, I'm trying to cash as well as post winners here on covers and will stick with the spread. I hope the Pistons win the game outright for those that back them. I never bet the obvious. Hopefully they get the job done.

Both teams shot poorly, poorly from three, and even poorly from the line, but it’s the 18 turnovers committed by the Pacers that did them in. Domantas Sabonis committed one-third of those turnovers. No surprise if you watched the game - he was getting harassed more than a Trump supporter minding his own business.
