Why is she getting a house from Kobe in the divorce settlement?

Vanessa was awarded $75 million including the 3 homes which is worth half of Kobe's asset.  And one of the home goes to the mother-in-law.

I will never understand why star professional athletes would ever want to get married during the prime of their careers.

I couldn't agree more! Being a married athlete is foolish, cause 75% of the time they are both cheating on each other!

Couldn't have said it better myself. just fuckin fools, No matter how much money you make, you can never justify having to give 75 mil to someone. Now I'm sure he is the type that isn't gonna take care of cousins and relatives with his loot. but guess what, now you've just donated 75 mil to some women who will be taking care of her side of the family. a relative can't get a dime from Kobe, but some family members from Vanessas side of the family will be living the highlife thanks to IDIOT Kobe who had a father trying to get him to sign a prenup to begin with.

They are not fools.

Some may actually believe in marriage and most of them want to have kids.

You retort with: "So have them when your career is over!"

I respond with, is 35/36/37/38 the time in your life you want to go out and meet a woman of quality and immediately have kids with thereafter?

No. These women are under social contracts of open marriages with their husbands. Almost all understand that. This one ultimately didn't like it and took $75 million with her.

gold-digging or not...she was a teenager being pursued by his ass during music video shoots....if he were smart he woulda realized the odds were against him just like most other athletes in terms of keeping it in his pants...

It eventually caught up to my boy Mike too just like with all these guys....start out with good intentions but shit goes wrong quick when you live the kind of life these guys do
