Dallas went 36-30, staggered into the playoffs as a seventh seed and was promptly swept in four games by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Nowitzki told the news that he was hindered by a knee injury and never got in tip-top shape last season.
“I think we have a good team again,” he told the Morning News. “I like all the new additions. I think we got younger and on the perimeter, more athletic and that was always our goal.
With this, I guess other teams need to prepare because this is going to be a good match, a good season for all of us. Cheers to the teams this season!

Caranano: thanks for writing about dallas. now is the time to analyze to get a jump on the regular season. dirk says he got married and hasn't picked up a basketball since last season, though he's been lifting. he's 34 and this is his 15th year in the league. last offseason after the championship dallas got rid of barea and chandler (to free money for dwight howard and then deron williams). in this past offseason cuban got rid of the JET and jason kidd. in their place, cuban signed darren collison and OJ mayo. they added ancient elton brand. rick carlisle wants to give darren collison the keys to run the team, like he did hall of famer kidd. putting that mishmash together sound as difficult as delonte west putting his chemistry together. I THINK they'll have a tough time out of the gait. would love to hear other dallas mav opinions!!!!!

Roonie, hope you didn't pull the trigger on that one.
I really think it is gonna take some time for ALL these parts to fit together. Too many new pieces and DIRK just getting older and older Luckily, carlisle was resigned giving Roonie a least a chance to cash in that SW div win wager
I just have a very strong feeling there are a bit too many illfitting parts to deal with here BTW, Mavs got drilled today in Spain. Don't know final but they were down like 18 late 3rd qtr
