I'm at a loss he did this. He's a free agent and certainly has the right to choose but the backlash? C'mon he could have gone to literally any team but this one or Cleveland and had utmost respect for making a choice but he went here? I'm at a loss.
People keep pointing to Lebron going to Miami but Miami didn't win 73 damn games the year before he went there; they actually built that somewhat. Durant is walking into a premade title team.
The only reason I hear he did this was for his "legacy" he's joining the best team in the league to win a title for his legacy? They sure as hell better win a title. But that's a pretty tainted title if you ask me.
I will say the NBA now has another bad guy so that's probably good for the NBA but I liked Durant it's shame Durant did this to himself.
My only hope for him is they win the title, as they should, he opts out next year and actually goes somewhere to try to win a real title.
