Going up against the 76ers, the Lakers have been playing MUCH better as of late and I don't see that changing here. Bynum getting back slowly but surely, should probably see 15 - 20 minutes. Favorable matchups all over the with Bynum/Gasol vs Spencer Hawes/Speights...Kobe vs Meeks...Artest defending Iguodala. I think this line is too low and i'm jumping on it now. Tell me different if you know something or tell me if i'm right....

line is low because 76ers have been covering alot lately. same as the heat-knicks line too. might parlay lakers-heat moneyline
Yea, I see that the 76ers have been playing okay lately but this is the Lakers who seem to be hitting their stride. Philly has won 5 out of 7. Wins vs the Hornets(struggling BIGTIME lately), Nets, Bobcats, Clippers and Cavs. Lost to Boston by 1, which might be more impressive than any of their wins and lost to Atlanta. I think this plays in favor of the Lakers, as they will take away what ever confidence the sixers have built up early and win by 10+

You are right, the lakers will overmatch Philly in every aspect. Bynum makes Pau that much better. You are dead on with the matchups. Also, Philly has covered 10 straight, 12 out of 13, i see them having a bad game here.

Don't give them too much credit just because they breezed past the Special Olympian Wizards on Tuesday night and then beat up a Pacers team who pissed them off last month by celebrating excessively on the Lakers' home floor following a 95-92 upset win. The fact is that prior to those two games, the Lakers had covered one of their previous ten games while losing half of them straight up.

The line on this game is about right, Laker lovers should still see value and Philly lovers should still see value, Books want to make money remember.
Now the true line based on how much of a favorite the lakers should be, would be about -9
Here is one of My Many NBA Theories.
"Monitor and watch for a Clue or signals that shows That a team has changed for the better or worse" ... Once Identified move forward and do know that you are now watching a different team.
In this game both theories are in play.
Sixers: Made a line up change at the end of November by benching Turner and Starting Jodie Meeks and Also The coached has shorten the rotation and minutes to players that are not helping the team.
Lakers: Bynum Returns to Starting Line up:
Other Examples of this theory
1. Miami Heat hold a players only Meeting after lost at Dallas. They respond by going on to win 10 in a row.
2. Blazer Coach: After a loss at wizards says " I think the team is no longer responding to me" The the team responds and puts together 4 wins in a row. Also Recently Roy Blames other teammates for his poor play and Then Apologizes in front of the team. I am monitoring the fallout from that, But they did go to dallas and lose but that's not enough info.
3. Cavs: Blowout loss to Lebron In Cleveland: After that you was looking at a different team, one with no confidence. Now they may of redeemed themselves with a moral victory down in Miami the other day. Will monitor..
Even with these theories you still have to Handicap Match-ups, schedule, and everything else. So don't get Lazy remember this is a theory.
Now Back to the lakers and Sixers
So to keep it simple, I believe this is a different lakers team now, We have not seen this team all year. We got a glimpse of This New team Wednesday at The Pacers.
Mr. Bator you offered a great motivational and revenge angle for the lakers in that game that i did not figure in also, Thanks for that.... I do believe though with Bynum in the line up this is a Team you do not bet against.

The way you put it, I'd never guess it's been the Lakers who've been a pointspread disaster the last few weeks while the Sixers have been the ones kicking pointspread ass.

I don't understand why everyone's already so excited about Andrew Bynum's return. He's rusty as hell and out of shape. He won't be helpful until he gets in a few more games at least. In 35 minutes against the defenseless Wizards and Pacers, he scored a measly 10 points on poor 2-9 shooting. The Lakers were actually outscored in these two blowout wins when Bynum was on the floor.

You sir are Correct about bynum stats, He has been mediocre in the last 2 games, But what his return offers in terms of Team Confidence as a whole is something that can not be measured, Plus phil said Bynum will start in this game so that may help him and his confidence and if he can get going early he may have a break out game, But that is for fantasy nerds I do not care about his stats.
Philly has been playing well with covering spreads but I will not be on the spread in this game I will be on the moneyline for that same reason.
Another theory.. this one is well known.... Good teams find a way to win and Bad teams find a way to lose.
That theory can go deeper though, Because I believe when a inferior team plays a superior team it is easier to break the will of the inferior team at some point during the game when pressure is applied unless the team has a True Leader with a Strong Personality.
So it's not as cut and dry as a Good vs bad team theory.
Also Remember this as You are capping this game today.
Basketball is all about confidence. That is the art of trash talking, You are trying to take the other player confidence and you know that if you are successful you can Drag him.
Go watch a pick up game and find a player who is dominating the game with No confidence. Goodluck on that one.
Again to keep it simple.
Lakers have the most confidence coming into this game. With Bynum inserted Back into the line-up that is a confident move and a Team confidence Builder.
Warning to teams: Mini statement game: Whoever you are we are coming.
I will be on the lakers moneyline time it opens this morning.

I know the Sixers have been covering, but outside of one game vs Boston, it hasn't been vs good teams. The Lakers are playing like the defending champions. I just see too many matchup problems for the Sixers. Brand/Speights/Hawes vs Gasol/Bynum/Odom just does not bode well for Philly.
