Too many people right now are crying fix and vegas controls outcomes, maybe some truth to it, but before you start saying Vegas knows how to make public bets lose, theres a couple of trends you must understand on how Vegas make spreads.

1. Vegas knows through history that favored teams are generally always a public bet. Because a lot of gamblers think they are the team that is "suppose" to win.

2. Vegas knows OVER is generally a public bet, nobody wants to watch a defensive game, we like high octane fast pace scoring games.

3. Vegas knows popular teams like Miami, Lakers, New York, Boston, are heavily wagered teams, no matter what the spread is people like to bet on them, they are exciting to watch, no one cares about the Bobcats or Utah Jazz.

Now you know these trends and this is factored into Vegas making spreads. So you wonder why public bets don't win so often?
