So Kyrie is out....ok. His offfense will be missed and surprisingly his defense was pretty good last game. Moving on....let's talk about something that will remain even with Kyrie out. Defense and rebounding. With Irving being out, rebounds will still come and defense may be better. I can't stand Della BUT he has a knack of getting in opponents grills and getting nasty. I see him doing this. Will he hold curry to a weak game, HELL no but his defense is better than kyrie. Look at the stats when kyrie is in as opposed to out. They are better without him by about 3 or 4 buckets defensively. Now...rebounding. I see tonite being lopsided in this department. Thompson continues to beast down low and I just don't see anyone stopping him. Lebron will board as well as mozgov and the athleticism of shump and JR will be more visible tonite. If you take into account that the bench was outscored by about 25 and the fact that lebron went 1-6 down the stretch AND THEY STILL HAD A CHANCE TO WIN IT IN REGULATION, I just think people are overreacting here with the cavs having no shot. I understand that GS didn't hit s lot of shots but neither did the cavs so it's a wash to me. What this game comes to is defensive pressure. Getting in people's faces and causing them to take bad shots. I see the cavs doing this. People forget they are very good defensively and if Memphis can hang with golden state for most of the series, I see a lebron lead team being able to. The cavs have pride and they aren't gonna lay over and the NBA wants this to be a series. As for the Warriors, i think they will have some key guys into foul trouble. Green, Thompson AND/OR Barnes may get into trouble early. Don't expect lebron to come out and score 50 or even 40, I think the Warriors want that. Expect him to get his guys open shots. I saw it in the Bulls series early. He drives, they HIT open shots tonite. It's their game. In the 4th it's lebron time as much as I can't stand him. He will get to the line at least 12 times and again, who guards him when green and co are in foul trouble? I see the same type of game as game 1 yet in crunch time, the cavs bench will be big. How do you stop a good jump shooting team? Control the glass and eliminate second chance points, don't give them space and most importantly make them work on the defensive end. I am tempted to take cavs ML but I will take the cavs spread here. Blatt will have a game plan tonite as will lebron and I expect them to execute it. Public perception is that the Warriors dominated them in overtime and with Irving being out, the cavs are doomed, right? We've seen it a thousand times in this year's playoffs. Chris Paul bring out, clips being up 17 in the 4th, clips losing the series, ALL UNEXPECTED. Why not tonite? I bet the Warriors would cover the spread last game and I got lucky as did many, I don't see a team converting a semi big number in 6-8 in a finals twice against lebron. I just don't see it. Not yet at least. Lebron chose s horrible shot in game 1 and stink it up late, I see lebron either hitting a huge shot in the last 2 possessions or a James jones/jr shot goes in by a lebron driving hard and dishing. My two cents.

The stats came from ESPN bud. I'm talking about defensive efficiency. I believe they give up 95 without him and around 101 with him. Pretty cut and dry. It's all about defense bud.
