Something about G4s in Finals and protracted series that trend to under. I think now both teams realize the championship is either within their reach or they can let it slip away. The shine is off Phx opening up the Finals at home to a raucous crowd and FT affair G1 and the 3pt extravaganza G2. Bucks came home to a manic crowd and played extremely desperate like they should and had Foster just in case. At some point defense has to trump wild offense off balance 3s and shooting 7 seconds into the shot clock. Suns hung their hat on defense and I gotta believe with these 2 day breaks Monty and CP3 come up w/ a good game plan to stifle Bucks just a bit. This is a huge game for Phx b/c if they lose momentum is squarely on Milwaukee's side and Suns will be on their heels. I bet we get Davis as lead ref and he tends towards lower scoring games in this spot. I'm really hoping Suns win this game so I can hammer Bucks G5 as this series begs for road wins and then we get to G7 after Bucks take care of G6 back in Fiserv. Even if Bucks win this one I strongly feel they win G5 in Phx then Suns come back and win G6 in Milw and we get G7 thataway.

We got Capers and Guthrie on the whistles, not entirely sure what this means. What I think is that Monty knew going into G3 it was a tough ask being up 2-0 and going into an extremely hostile environment where he knew Bucks would play with high desperation. Then we he saw the referee assignments with Foster I'd guess he and the team just shrugged their shoulders, had a little laugh and decided together that they'd put up a fight but not go all in as the deck was stacked against them, live to fight another day mentality. Monty actually showed this by not only not playing Ayton and Booker big minutes 2nd half but also playing Payne/Cam/Kaminsky bigger minutes. I'm perplexed that bettors don't see that and take that into consideration when evaluating Bucks offensive breakout performance. Phx was not playing Phx player minutes nor Suns basketball, they essentially took the loss knowing that today would be a different story: no Foster, no desperation for Milw (Bucks and Giannis with swagger would worry me if I were a Bucks backer). Maybe I'm way off and wrong but I wouldn't put a dime on Bucks repeating that performance much less against a solid defensive road team coming off an embarrassing loss against a PG that has spent his entire life controlling pace and the game flow. I never watch the games I bet on b/c it's too stressful but I have watched this series and what stands out to me is Bucks cannot get a defensive stop when it is absolutely needed and Giannis changes the mood of his team when he's bullying on the court, it goes from team ball to iso bull in a china shop. I hope we get a better defensive effort from both teams and see a tighter lower scoring game that the gravity of the moment warrants but won't be shocked if it blows up either as players lack discipline these days on defensive effort. However Phx can capitalize and turn Milw defensive lapses into points. Should be fun either way!

CP3 playing in his 10th consecutive post season, that's such a benefit for Suns as he's playing at such a high level and knows what it takes to win these type of games and just as importantly he knows what it takes to lose these games.
