I really dont see gsw winning 3 straight games vs boston . boston did it vs Milwaukee in a close out game and they did it vs my Miami Heat in a close out game. i expect boston to get more calls at home and i dont care if curry missed a bunch of threes , gsw role players will decline on the road (speaking to u wiggins) boston role players will be much better .
boston just needs to learn how to close a damn game , game 4 and 5 they just couldnt close .

you right they need to learn to close, which is why they need another year or two. you think they’re just gonna learn by next game all of a sudden? in the finals? not enough time and experience. you cant practice in the game. too late.

Boston's the more physical team, they should've gotten even more calls. You got Jordan Poole flopping all over the place and Draymond pulling his antics that he never gets called for in the Bay!

They are not though. That's a myth that the numbers don't support. Look at points in the paint. Points within two feet. They all favor the Warriors. The Celtics entire offense is shooting 3 pointers. There was a playoff game, I believe the clincher against Milwaukee, where they attempted 55 three pointers.
The media creates this narrative that, "Boston is more physical. Golden State is more finesse," but the stats and film don't support this.
And what antics? I keep hearing people say Draymond should be called for "his antics". You can't T a guy up just for "antics". You have to list specific offenses. You're clearly a Boston homer, and it's clear Boston homers want the refs to win the game for them. Go back and check the Miami series. Boston doesn't advance without the refs. Are they "more physical" than Miami too?

They really do. Look, I may be a Golden State Oakland homer but the Celtics are my second team. My dad's from Boston. I've got a ton of Celtics swag. I just sent my Dad and older brother Celtics jerseys for father's day. So I have watched this team a ton. They have won by winning the free throw battle, and at times going nuclear from three. They were 22-55 in the Milwaukee close out game. People thing they get to the line because "they're more physical" but they're not. They flop. They look to draw contact instead of finishing strong. I think Udoka, who coaches internationally with Nigeria, had influenced the use of Euro/FIBA style "gamesmanship", much like when Dantoni went to Houston.
So having watched this team, they are capable of winning the free throw battle. They have in almost every game. They are capable of shooting lights out from three. They will certainly attempt 40ish, at least. They are mentally weak though. Surprisingly so. Brown is a piss poor ball handler. Make him dribble. He and Tatum both struggle to their left. Force them that way. The Time Lord is a menace of a rim protector. Force him to come out. Put him in the pick and roll action. Their bread and butter is the three ball so close out on shots. Keep a hand in their faces. Jump straight up. Don't foul. Tatum is the only tall, long, pure shooter. He can get his no matter how good the defense is. Don't let Horford best you from behind the arc. Don't let Derrick White best you from behind the arc. If you don't give them easy three point attempts to start, if you don't let them get their confidence, they won't even attempt them down the stretch. It will turn into the Jays against 8 much like Game 5.

I just know these teams more than any others. It's like you with the Heat. If was the Bulls vs the Utah Jazz or something I would have no input. Even after watching the first 5 games of the series but when I really locked in to the stuff the Celtics do with the refs, etc, was in the ECF against you guys. That was supposed to be a match up if two equally physical defenses/teams. Look at the free throw disparity in some of those games. It's insane. It wasn't because Boston was the more aggressive team offensively. That's a misconception. They shoot threes. It was their gamesmanship. And the fact that they are the Boston Celtics, once of the two Arch Dukes of the league.

On Get Up J.J. Redick broke down why Pegleg Tatum looks so bad. He too often leaps on one foot, cutting way down on his power and maneuverability, leading to poor shots and even weaker passes and turnovers. He certainly looked awful on film with analysis.
Role players need to step if BOS wants to avoid elimination.

Exactly! They dont know how to do it. Tatum is not there when bos need him the most. He is good...very good basketball player BUT he doesnt have the IT.....
If middleton or herro were not injured, they will not be able to get pass them.

Spoke to my neighbor smoking in his car today. He's an retired basketball coach. He says GP2 or young Glove is a huge difference maker. That the Boston guards cannot get around him.
Kerr adjustment: Klay on Jaylen. Jaylen can't get around him. That's why the reporter asked Klay has this been your best defensive series? He reluctantly agreed. He's obviously lost lateral quickness. So he can't cover guards. But he's big enough to slow down Brown.
Warriors are unexpectedly wearing down the young bean-town brawlers.
Finally, Boston is playing game six to send it to game seven. San Francisco (stolen from Oaktown) is playing for the NBA championship. That's clearly two different sets of motivation.
Can Boston kick Curry's butt? Yes. However, I see the heart of a champion emerging over the course of five games. Steve Kerr should win his first final's MVP.

Do you recall how much grief I got for saying how important he was to this team when he went down with an injury?! I watched this team all year. They are a different animal with him on the court. He is the smart version of Marcus Smart for this team because unlike Smart he knows his role and stays in his lane.

you're the man to me, beginnerboy. GP2 was +18 in the game. I got the last two games, but you had me wake up in game four. Amazing capping. Hats off to you beginnerboy. Have a nice summer. October will be here before you know it.
